It all started when my son was born in 2016, when I took a break from work to be a full-time mother to my baby. In between feeding, nappy changing and sleepless nights, I had an epiphany. I no longer wanted to be a part of the corporate world! I felt called to rekindle my passion for dance, art and craft and incorporate this talent into the modules of healing work to help people enjoy, relax and recuperate themselves.
I still remember the day when, as if following a divine plan, an advert caught my attention. It talked about Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy. The concept of holistic healing and creating body awareness, through just a gentle touch by the therapist, got me intrigued. I attended an intro talk and took a BCST session for myself. I felt an immediate resonance and decided to commit myself to the two-year programme conducted by Body Intelligence Training Centre, India.
During the course of my training, I realized how less I knew about myself, anatomically! I realized how unique and intelligent our body is. How it adjusted to whatever we fed to it, both physically and mentally, and give the best possible outcome, for us to survive in this ever-changing environment. More than ever, I understood the importance of being mindful of what is going in and out of our system.
With every seminar, I got closer to understanding health and being body aware. On personal front each seminar brought releases. Some sessions I cried like a baby releasing my emotional traumas, and in other sessions I became a baby, visiting my origin of being. Few sessions had me witness prominent physical releases.
The two most amazing experiences which I will always remember, are, when my sphenoid bone (A butterfly shaped bone, that sits right behind our nasal bone) and the lower lumbar made adjustments during the sessions. It was the most amazing experience, to feel my bones move and align themselves on their own! I was in awe of Craniosacral therapy and its unintrusive nature of encouraging body to heal on its own!
Over a period of some sessions, I was cured of my own health issues like migraine, headaches and irregular menstrual cycle. It felt so liberating. Today, I feel so more body aware, grounded and resourced.
Self-care is so important, a vital fact, I took time to integrate in my life. I understood, one can’t heal others, before healing themselves. Now, I keep myself resourced, by taking healing sessions like BCST, Marma, Accessbar etc. from my colleagues and friends. I meditate regularly and practice Sudarshan Kriya(AOL), Yoga, Chiqong, etc.., I love going for walks, music , dance, talking to friends and family ,painting etc., basically doing what I love the most. Each time, when I do this, I consciously rewire my brain igniting feeling of love, compassion, safety and general wellbeing within.
